THE PACT ACT
Vaporizer shipping has changed. Here’s how it affects you.
In 2021, the “Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking” Act was introduced to prevent kids getting hold of nicotine vaping devices. But this broad set of laws affect how all vaporizer retailers and manufacturers ship their products, regardless of whether they’re destined for adult users, or whether they’re designed to deliver nicotine or other herbal concentrates.
This may sound like Armageddon for vape retailers. But it’s not. It just means we have to conform to complex new reporting and shipping policies and be super cautious about how we ship our products to you. The penalties are serious, so we have to tread carefully.
The USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHS have all committed to support the ban on vaporizer shipping. They’re clamping down on all vaporizers and accessories that use e-liquids or herbal concentrates. That’s why you’ll find concentrate vaporizers are hard to buy online right now.
Things will get better. Concentrate vaporizers were sucked into this broad set of laws, but the industry will adapt. You can help by contacting your local lawmakers, expressing your frustration that legal concentrate vaporizers are needlessly subject to the PACT Act.
