Storz & Bickel VEAZY Review (2025) — The “Mini VENTY” Look, the Simple S&B Reality

The Storz & Bickel VEAZY is a compact hybrid portable with three easy temp steps, optional Web App control, and classic S&B consistency. Here’s what it does well, what it doesn’t, and who it’s actually for.

Quick take

The VEAZY is one of those devices where expectations are everything. At first glance it looks like a slimmed-down VENTY — and in some ways it clearly borrows design cues — but it is not a “small VENTY.” If you’re expecting VENTY-level airflow and top-tier power in a smaller body, you’re going to be disappointed.

If you’re expecting Storz & Bickel reliability in a simpler, more portable package — with solid vapor quality and minimal learning curve — the VEAZY makes a lot of sense. It’s not trying to replace the VENTY. It’s trying to be the easiest way into the S&B lineup.

VEAZY specs at a glance

  • Heating: Hybrid convection + conduction
  • Temperature range (Web App): 40°C–210°C (104°F–410°F)
  • On-board temps (stock): 356°F → 383°F → 410°F
  • Heat-up time: about 35–60 seconds (often ~40 seconds at base)
  • Size & weight: 3.7 cm W × 13.4 cm H × 3.5 cm D; 134 g
  • Charging: USB-C (side port = charge while standing)
  • Control: One button + LED + vibration (customizable in Web App)
  • Compatibility: Works with Storz & Bickel dosing capsules
  • Materials: Durable high-temp plastics (including PEEK) and a ceramic-coated filling chamber

Design, size, and build quality

In the hand, the VEAZY feels tall and slim — almost like a little handle. It’s noticeably more pocket-friendly than a VENTY, and it’s the kind of device you can toss in a bag and go.

The outer shell is plastic, but not “cheap plastic.” Storz & Bickel uses high-temp, durable materials here (including PEEK), which helps keep the unit comfortable to hold. A metal shell can feel premium, but it can also get annoyingly hot if the design isn’t perfect. The VEAZY avoids that problem.

It comes in four colors (black, blue, orange, pink). Most people will probably grab black, but it’s still nice having options that don’t feel boring.

Battery life and charging

Battery life is good, not legendary. Most users land around 7–8 sessions per charge depending on temperature and how they use Boost/Superboost. In more standardized testing, it usually shakes out to roughly 40-ish minutes of runtime, which is right on target for a smaller portable.

Charging is USB-C, and the port is on the side so you can charge it while it’s standing upright. Charge time is typically around 90 minutes from empty to full with a solid charger, and it doesn’t behave like a true fast-charge device.

How to use the VEAZY (simple mode)

One of the VEAZY’s biggest wins is how straightforward it is: one button and an LED. Turn it on, wait for the ready signal, and inhale. There’s basically no technique required.

Out of the box, the VEAZY gives you three on-board temperature steps:

  • Base: 356°F (180°C)
  • Boost: 383°F (195°C)
  • Superboost: 410°F (210°C)

Heat-up time is solid: typically 35–60 seconds depending on temperature and battery level.

One personal gripe: it can vibrate when it drops below temp and again when it returns to temp. It rebounds quickly, so the extra buzzing can feel unnecessary. The good news is you can turn that off in the Web App.

The S&B Web App (where VEAZY gets “dialed in”)

You do not need the app to use VEAZY — it works perfectly fine in stock, on-board mode. But the Web App is where you unlock the full experience and fix most “out of the box” complaints.

The VEAZY uses Storz & Bickel’s Web App at app.storz-bickel.com. Because it relies on Web Bluetooth support, setup depends on your device:

  • iPhone/iPad: typically requires a Web Bluetooth-enabled browser (Bluefy is common)
  • Windows: Chrome or Edge with Bluetooth enabled
  • Android: Chrome with Bluetooth enabled

In the Web App you can:

  • Set a precise base temperature (instead of being locked at 356°F)
  • Customize Boost and Superboost levels
  • Enable/disable vibration (including temp-drop buzzes)
  • Adjust LED brightness
  • Enable “Permanent Boost” so it doesn’t drop back down automatically
  • Tweak charge optimization settings
  • Factory reset and general device preferences

This is the key detail: VEAZY can feel a bit soft out of the box because the default base temperature is conservative. A quick temperature tweak in the Web App often brings it much closer to what people expect from Storz & Bickel.

Vapor quality (real-world performance)

The VEAZY delivers classic S&B consistency: comfortable draws, reliable extraction, and predictable results. It’s the kind of portable that “just works,” session after session.

At the stock base temperature (356°F), vapor is light and very comfortable — but for a lot of people it’ll be too light. If your first session feels soft, that’s normal. It’s not broken; the default temp is simply low.

When you move into Boost and Superboost, it gets far more satisfying: thicker output, stronger extraction, and the overall experience most people actually want.

Compared to the VENTY:

  • It’s not as powerful
  • Airflow is more restricted
  • Vapor can feel a bit warmer

The simplest way to describe it: airflow feels more like a Mighty+ or Crafty+ than a wide-open VENTY.

Flavor notes (the most debated point)

Some reviewers say VEAZY flavor is slightly muted or slightly harsher than a VENTY or Mighty+ at the same temperatures. One theory is that parts of the heater design (including stainless steel mesh elements) can subtly affect flavor.

My take: side-by-side, you might notice differences. But in normal use, most people are going to think it tastes great and move on with their day. If you’re extremely flavor-focused and already own a VENTY, you’ll probably still prefer the VENTY — and that’s fine.

Dosing capsules, chamber, and session style

VEAZY is compatible with Storz & Bickel dosing capsules, which is a huge quality-of-life win: faster loading, cleaner sessions, and less mess when you’re out of the house.

VEAZY shines as a “low → medium → high” session device: start at base for comfort and flavor, then step up as you want thicker output and stronger extraction. It’s simple, repeatable, and very hard to mess up.

Best features

  • Simplicity: One button, minimal learning curve, easy to share
  • Portability: Slim and lightweight for true daily carry
  • Consistency: Reliable S&B performance without technique
  • Dosing capsules: Cleaner, easier day-to-day use
  • Web App control: Deep customization if you want it, without forcing complexity

What could be better

  • No screen: Many users want a display for exact temps and feedback
  • Default temp is low: Can cause a “meh” first impression
  • Expectation management: Looks VENTY-like, so people expect VENTY performance
  • Battery is average: Great for most, but heavy users may want VENTY or Mighty+

If Storz & Bickel shipped VEAZY with a slightly higher default base temp, fewer people would bounce off after the first session. The Web App fix is easy — but first impressions matter.

VEAZY vs VENTY vs Mighty+ vs Crafty+ (who should buy what)

If you already own a VENTY and love it for airflow and power, VEAZY will feel like a downgrade. It’s smaller and more portable, but it doesn’t bring a new “performance tier” — it brings a convenience tier.

  • VEAZY vs VENTY: VEAZY is smaller and simpler; VENTY wins on airflow, power, and battery
  • VEAZY vs Mighty+: VEAZY is more pocketable; Mighty+ can be the better “daily driver” for heavier use
  • VEAZY vs Crafty+: VEAZY is a compelling pick if you want simple controls, USB-C, and a pocket-friendly shape

The clean way to think about it: VEAZY is an entry point and a travel-friendly option. If you want the best portable S&B can do, you’re still looking at VENTY.

Who VEAZY is for

VEAZY makes the most sense for:

  • first-time buyers who want something simple and reliable
  • people who want a true pocket-friendly carry
  • anyone who wants S&B consistency without complexity
  • users who love dosing capsules and clean sessions

VEAZY is probably not for:

  • VENTY owners who want the same airflow in a smaller body
  • heavy all-day users who need big battery endurance
  • anyone who requires a screen and full on-device temp control

Verdict

VEAZY is a smart move from Storz & Bickel. It’s not “cheap,” but it’s the most accessible portable entry into the brand and it keeps the core strengths: consistency, comfort, and easy results.

Just go in with the right expectation: it’s not a mini VENTY — it’s a simpler, more portable S&B experience that gets even better once you set your temps in the Web App.
