An Impressive Water Pipe Holds Lots or a Little
Made from several components, the meat of the High Rise System starts with the water pipe, and it’s a considerable unit. With a wide base and massive reservoir, you’ll be able to fill it with enough water to cool down the hottest hits while being stable on the table. The High Rise features a high volume, ultra-bubbling, wide diameter percolator that both sits close to the bottom of the piece and is bolstered to it for additional strength. This low position lets you fill the water pipe with a small amount of water and still get some cooling which can be advantageous and provide the best flavour.
Whip it Good and Share with Your Friends
The glass piece has a 14mm input that is bolstered to the side of the unit for extra strength and on the top, you’ll find a second 14mm joint which is purposed for the included silicone whip. The High Rise is a true desktop centrepiece that you’ll want to share and show off as well.
Staying in the vein of being impressed by the High Rise, the glass is the least interesting part! Where the real magic happens is in the “scaffolding”, the non-glass components that surround the High Rise and provide it with the unique abilities that it brings to the party. The bottom section of the scaffolding is a precision, 3D printed base with a small rubber pad in the centre where the glass sits.
A Sturdy Scaffolding Protects the Glass
There are 4 metal posts that screw into the base and will then secure the top metal section that sits directly on the glass in place. Once again, there’s a rubber pad where the glass would contact the other surface for peace of mind and safety. Now that the High Rise is assembled, you will see how substantial of a structure it really is, with enough mass to stand reliably regardless of what device you’re using it with. Finally, for those of us who are always misplacing our tools, the High Rise has a built-in swing arm that is pitted with different sized holes to support your extra bowls, adapters, and tools of various sizes.
Light it Up While You Get Lit Up
But what’s that? Off the top rope (or under the base) with the coupe de grace there’s a controllable, colour changing LED light disc that will light up your High Rise in a multitude of colours. You can choose to have one colour displayed, or the light can cycle through the available colours in order, it’s totally up to you! Battery shipping laws are weird, so the included remote comes with the battery installed, but the light is powered by 3 x AAA batteries that you’ll have to supply on your own.

Push Your Proxy To The Limit

Some of the water pieces we’ve come across for the Proxy are a little on the thin side and definitely seem to be geared towards the portability of the Proxy, not its ability to put out massive, choking clouds. But if you’re not using the highest temp setting on the Proxy, you are doing yourself a serious disservice. Now, you definitely don’t want to turn it up to 11 natively, but a solid bubbler like the Insider is your ticket to smooth-ville.
Full Sized 7.5" Tall Bubbler
The Insider stands at a respectful 7.5” tall and has a nice wide base so you can really bear down and giver. The intake joint was designed specially to fit the Proxy perfectly and it also protects all of the internals with the joint. The internal connection takes advantage of a small recess to make it incredibly difficult to accidentally turn it on. The intake leads to a super wide disc percolator with a phenomenal amount of air slits to provide super free airflow to help you take those large, silky hits.
Go Ahead & Turn It Up
While you don’t have to fill it up the entire way, the Insider Bubbler holds a substantial amount of water. Luckily, the glass is shaped to pull water back into the reservoir, not your mouth. Finally, the mouthpiece itself sits quite far from your Proxy giving you an open view of your workspace and lots of room to work with. You really need to turn your Proxy all the way up to take full advantage of it and the Insider Bubbler is the sizeable step up from your pocket-sized glass that’ll keep you coming back for more.

Ok, so why is this a big deal? When in use, the airflow comes from underneath the Vapour Cap, which is where the flame is aimed. So, you’re heating up the top, and your airflow comes from the bottom, giving true separation of church and state. This results in pure convection vaporization and that is uncommon not only in butane powered vapes but especially ones with isolated airpaths.
Simple to Use, Simple to Upkeep
We love the usability of The Lotus; it’s just so easy to pick up and learn compared to a lot of butane vapes that require fine tuning and trial and error. The separation of the heat and airpath also makes it incredibly difficult to scorch your flower.
